I’m planning on renting a car to get from LA to Long Beach for a weekend assembly I have to attend to and can’t use my dad’s car.

Here’s the problem: Where can I rent a car if I don’t have a credit card (i have a debit card) and I am under 25 years old?
My friend has a credit card but she is also under 25 and my parents don’t have a credit card.

Please help! I can’t miss the assembly!

My Car is a POS and I am thinking of renting a car long term from Enterprise. For an intermediate car such as a Dodge Avenger 4 2008 for about $600 a month. Any thoughts, advice, warnings? And financing a car is not an option.

I am planning to begin a driving school on a caribbean island. Vehicles are driven on the left side of the road here. I therefore need a right hand drive, dual control car.

Where can I buy one online?!

I have searched everywhere but all I see is rentals or conversion services.

My policy allows up to $30.00 per day to a maximum of 30 days while my car is being repaired. When the car becomes drivable, then I return the rental vehicle and retrieve my car. The rental can not be kept for longer than it takes the car to be repaired and drivable. So I am curious from anyone’s experience, what is the reasonable time to return the rental vehicle and then retrieve the repaired car? I ask because I was notified that my car was ready at 3:30PM, and I returned my rental at 7:30 the very next morning. I could not pick up car by 5PM because I was working in different town. I have tried to contact my insurance company but they will not say 24 hours or eight or whatever. I am now being charged from the rental car company for that next day. I assume the charge is being placed because the insurance company thinks I could retrieve my repaired car by 5PM. Anyone have ideas or experience?

We have a 2004 Honda Pilot EX-L 4WD with RES (DVD) and a dealer-installed 6 CD changer and trailer hitch. It was in an accident and has been repaired. The repairs were well done at a reputable, insurance company-guaranteed shop. It is clean, well kept and has had all of it’s factory recommended maintainance performed. How much lower than KBB or edmunds do I need to set the price of this vehicle to sell?

Btw, we’ve decided to sell for a few reasons. We got a great deal on a 2006 vehicle - and this new vehicle is far easier for my in-laws to access (trust me helping my chubby MIL climb in to the Pilot every week was not fun!). Buying the new vehicle put my kids into a safe large vehicle right away instead of spending the next month or so squeezing into rental cars

Thanks for your input!

I just moved to los angeles and rented a car for a month for $550. i am on my father’s geico insurance plan so i don’t pay for that. I am 6 m. shy of 25 so i think rates might be very high for insurance. i am going to be in LA for at least 6 months but maybe much longer. I really don;t know if it is smarter to lease (downsides having to get my own insurance, other issues) buy used (no warranty, having to spend a lot of money if problems arise)

looking for most affordable and safest option.

do i need my own insurance seperate from my father’s if i buy or lease a car in my own name? can i lease a car without a full time employee status (i am an ind. contractor)?

please help.

I used to have a stick shift Honda, but sold it. I’d like to rent one to drive around while I’m on vacation, but can’t find any rental places that offer it. What rental agencies offer this sort of thing?
