The insurance co stated that they only owe 1 week’s worth of car rental. The final settlement has not yet been reached and the ins co is looking over figures (autotrader ads, etc) I have submitted to them. They have advanced a “partial settlement” and the adjuster said that they do not owe anymore than 1 week’s worth of car rental bc they advanced the partial settlement check. I am in northern California. What are my rights? Thanks.

Hi. I am going on a trip and I need to find a cheap car rental. I see all these sites giving out company contract id’s for use with a car rental reservation. I don’t just want to you use one and it be illegal to do so. What can happen if I do use such a contract code that I am not even associated with? Can someone educated on the subject give me advice. Thanks!

His insurance company is being charged for days that the car is out of commission because of the money it lost for those days. It comes to a total of like $350 and they are not covering that part, just the repair cost. Should I go after the guy for the money and let him deal with his insurance company or should I try to negotiate with the insurance company. Budget rental car told me to call his insurance company. I have not the time or the inclination to mess with a big firm. do you think it’d be a better idea to ask the guy to pay, and then take him to small claims if he refuses? And, if i do ask him to by via certified mail, what is a good time frame I should set before I take it small claims…2weeks?….30 days?

thanks!!

My vehicle was totaled in an accident. The other party is at fault, the police reports have been submitted, and the insurance company has provided a rental vehicle for wednesday thru monday. One adjusters told me that it is an AR state law that insurance companies can only provide a rental vehicle for 3 business days… but another insurance adjuster, my finance company, and my insurance company told me that was false. Who is telling the truth???
