My car was past the H and was smoking so I took it in to one dealer. They told me that I needed a new head gasket blah blah and it was close to $2,000. They also told me my car was undriveable. I don’t have a $2,000 so I drove about 35 mins to another dealership which I have a $100 coupon. They ran a diagnostic test and couldn’t find anything wrong with it. So I showed them the paper from the other dealership, they test drove it and magically said the same thing that the previous shop said. The service manager knew I was mad, so they gave me a rental car I’ve had it for 10 days. Should I leave it alone since I have the rental car or should I ask for a discounted price or anything else? Thanks in advnace
I drive a 2001 Civic and it’s getting repaired not just sitting at the shop. I just have a problem w/ the 2nd shop not finding ANYTHING wrong w/ it if I didn’t speak up I would be stranded on the highway. I’m asking if it would be too much to ask for a discounted price in addition to the rental car that I already have.
