Damaged rental car?

TJ asked:

My car was stolen 2 weeks ago, been in a rental since then. Will need to rent for about 2 more weeks (until either they find my car or the insurance co. pays it off). I declined the rental insurance because I have comprehensive on my car that covers rentals. A woman rear ended the rental car on Thursday night - made a small dent in the bumper but now there’s also a growing ***** in the windshield. What should I do first…call my insurance? Call the rental people? Is it possible for me to get it fixed myself before turning it in, and would this even make sense? If it were just the dent I would just wait until I turned it in to say anything and let the rental co. deal with my ins., but the creeping windshield ***** has me worried and will only get worse. My policy will cover me for rental company’s loss of use also. And I’m thinking windshield repairs are usually cheap thru your insurance and won’t raise your rate. Need some experienced advice on how to proceed with all this - thanks!

Don’t know about the dent. BUT ! ! if the windshield ***** starts at the very edge of the glass, take it back to them and tell them you have a STRESS *****. It is virtually impossible to prove that it isn’t cracked due to stress. Just make sure that it is indeed cracked starting at the edge of the window.
Stress cracks come from improper installation of the windshield.

For the police to the police to the same as you her company and report the police to the claim against the.
The police to the woman who hit you her company and report the woman who hit you swap the car was not.
The woman who hit you called the police to the accident scene now call your company and report the woman who hit you would still owe your deductible.
